For over two decades, The Mellow Mac has written and produced a large body of work,
from R&B rap—hip-hop, pop, reggaeton, EDM, neo soul, country and more—for various
artists and labels. One Way Ticket,” single released July 2024, features The Mellow Mac on an R&B love
song, with harmonic vocals telling his love interest he’s ready to go to the next level if
she is.“Yeah, yeah. I wanted that sensual kind of feel, where I only use a kick drum, snare &
hat. I played all the instruments like butter, with a tempo at 70 bpm”.
I need to know if you’re ready?
    Should I get a one-way ticket now?
A round trip if you’re not down
“Grown folks' music,” he said. “That’s really what it is—classic R&B with a little taste of a
“Silk Sonic” kind of vibe, with a the fast, syncopated vocal cadence and saucy
    harmonies.”
I need to know if your cup runs over
    will you want it again?
want it again, want it again now
He is a co-founder and producer for the band L.A. CounyLine, which has released a few
singles, EPs and albums and performs in the Los Angeles region. They co-wrote songs
for GaimChng3R Entertainment and partners Bungalo/Universal Music. Mellow Mac
produced, engineered and played multiple instruments on several songs for this group
He has worked for many years in artist development, polishing various artist’s skills. His
work ethic keeps him working constantly at several recording studios including his
studio in La Habra, CA. Kram Pro Studios, established in 2003. As an engineer,
musician, producer and many more hats are worn by The Mellow Mac.
“I don’t want to sit on some of these songs anymore. I constantly write and collaborate,
adding to my catalog songs. I thought ‘Okay, I just want to do something for myself, for
me,’ and that’s why I decided to release my own album.”
The songs are his babies, after all, and he wants to send them out into the world and
see them make good. “One Way Ticket” will also be the title of the album in 2025.
“The album has a lot of different flavors,” he said. “I have some rap/hip/hop a mixture,
    but it’s mostly R&B.”
“One Way Ticket” is the second of his babies that he has released this year. The first,
“Me and My Boo,” is a fast, fun, Pop/R&B number that features Jacob G. on lead
vocals, who is the other co-founder of the band L.A. CounyLine, which they formed in
    2018.
“Making music is not work to me, it’s therapy. I play and record music to relax my hyper
mental energy and music comes easy to me. I’m all over the place musically speaking,
which can be difficult to market. Growing up listening to different music genres made me
kind of like a music gypsy and definitely a free spirit when it comes to music. I have an
appreciation for all forms of good music”

The melodies andinstrumentation make it a hauntingly beautiful listen.“Sorry” drops on July 6. The music video has already been released.“When I wrote this song,” said S7GMA, “I had just lost my father. Then a month after, Ilost my manager. He was killed. In that very same day, I found out that my friend’snewborn baby had passed away.”Never thought I’d have these thoughts now they want me on them pills,My dad just passed away my head just spinning like a wheel,Then my homie lost his daughter man I know this can’t be real,It is, in one way, the most defiant, in-your-face eulogy you’ll ever hear. In another, it is agood-bye to all his friends, and in another it is a message to himself. An Asian singing bowl resonates in the background, and a soft, slow chiming bell setsthe beat and the mood in the intro before drums take over the beat and slashed stringsintroduce the theme:World turned us cold and all we know is get it,We ain’t never ask for this life, but it is the life we living,Telling us the best to do, but is that the right decision?“‘Sorry’ is basically all tough love, because somebody like me had to go through myobstacles, obviously, to get to where I had to be. So, it’s a message to myself, ‘Stopfeeling sorry for yourself.’ At the same time, I’m sorry you had to go through everythingthat you had to go through to be where you are today.”He calls his new music — the music he began creating this year with “Now” —“conscious hip-hop.” It has a much more serious attitude than the upbeat, poppy hip-hop of previous years. In 2023, he said, his attitude was “You know what? I’m just gonna give people whatthey want. I’m just, you know, playful and commercial.”But by the end of the year, his reasoning changed.“It was like, this isn’t working, and if I can’t please people doing what they want, makingsounds that they want to hear, then I’m just going to go ahead and do me. I lockedmyself in my room for the first three months of the year and did nothing but S7GMA,S7GMA, S7GMA. S7GMA, S7GMA, S7GMA, all day every day.”Conscious hip-hop.“It is music with a message but it’s more conscious of myself, of the moves I make, because I do have mental depression, and I’m a deep thinker. I like to dig deep intothings. I like being self-aware.”“Sorry,” with its anger and loss, is also a song of regret, of missed opportunities to learnfrom people now gone, of the inability to help.He wasn’t in real contact with his father until he was 20 and his father had beendiagnosed with the brain tumor that eventually killed him.“Every time I spoke to him, he always told me, ‘Just don’t stress.’ Literally, just black andwhite, ‘Don’t stress,’ and that’s an anomaly to me, because, like I said, I like to breakthings down.”“And then my manager,” he said, the manager who texted him “23 minutes before hepassed.”“He was three hours away, and he needed me to come and pick him up. It only took 23minutes for somebody else to take his life. So, I do feel guilty, one, that I never paidattention to my father and two, I’m not Superman and I couldn’t make a three-hour trip.”S7GMA self-produces all his music. His YouTube channel is named prodS7GMA. Thesound of “Now” and “Sorry,” he said, will now be a “staple” with him, “somber, tough, lowsounding, and that aggression that you hear in ‘Sorry” is also something I do.”“Sorry” and “Now” will be part of a seven-track EP, Mind of Me, he will release inNovember. Another single that will go on the EP, “Welcome,” drops on July 19. Beyondthat, he has a whole year’s program of music planned for the rest of this year and into2025. Meanwhile, we have “Sorry,” with music and lyrics well-worth listening to. S7GMA’svoice itself has a resonating quality much like the singing bowl in the intro, which addsto the music and makes the message almost impossible to miss.“‘Sorry,’” he said, returning to the message, “I’ll say is something for people to listen to.You can be sorry, but don’t feel sorry for yourself.”Make sure to stay connected to S7GMA on all platforms for new music, videos, andsocial posts.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/creator-to-creators-with-meosha-bean--4460322/support.

  • Creator to Creators S6 Ep 29 Jesse Medina
    Jul 26 2024
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIszb9nh3r4https://open.spotify.com/artist/64kjTvGmTTpYpoSX0uNJ6QRapper Jesse Medina continues to pour his heart and soul into his music, putting out hard-hitting tracks. The most recent is “No Ma’am” off an upcoming EP titled Extrasensory Modes ofPerception.“No Ma’am” features Medina’s boy Q-Timer, who he has been playing music with for years. They wrote the song together and put it to a beat by producer Barry Bones, who they bothworked with on Medina’s recent track “In My Head.”While his first single was more about using trippy poetry describing the world of drug psychosis, this one is a little more fun and playful with a focus on “chillin’ with his homies.”“We went over to Barry’s lab and did it over his beat,” Medina said. “It was based off the show‘Married With Children’ and Al Bundy’s little crew of homies. You know, it’s about looking out foryour bro, having guy time and just kind of talking shit.”Medina admits there is some randomness to the song, and he and Q-Timer are just “spittin’.”The inspiration for the bars kind of just came out of thin air.“It’s really about the brotherhood,” Medina said. “It is kind of the camaraderie between me andQ-Timer. It’s about sticking with your boys. You know, there are people in relationships, but youcan go out and kick it with your homies. I like the word play and like the beat a lot, and the hookis hella dope to me. That kind of sums it up.”Medina said the bars and the beat carry the lyrical flow. The beat has an element of intrigue to itbefore the lyrics kick in.Here they comeAll my gunsMy day onesLike when you see me runThe story behind the beat is an interesting one. Jesse said there was initially another beat that“No Ma’am” was written to. Somehow it went missing, and no matter how hard they looked, theysimply couldn’t find it. Sometimes that is just the way things go, and resiliency is key. While itthrew them off at first, Medina, Q-Timer and Barry Bones started from square one and put outsomething to be proud of.“Q found this beat and it was sounding hard,” Jesse said. “When I heard it, I knew it was a hellasick beat. I love it, man. It’s beyond what I wanted it to be. This beat changed the delivery andmade it something else.”He has heard solid feedback from his fans about his last track, “In My Head,” and with “NoMa’am” that praise has only continued and increased. He said this is one for the friends andfans alike.“This is for the hip-hop heads.”Extrasensory Modes of Perception has nine tracks and will be released next month. It is a mix ofdifferent styles of hip-hop. Jesse said it is beyond labeling in a genre. Each track differs from thenext and will keep the listeners on their toes and on the edge of their seats in anticipation. Whilethere is a sense of randomness, he said there is also a method to the madness.“If I hear something in my head, I’m just going to execute it, and there’s no telling what kind ofmusic will come from it,” he said. “I’m looking at the challenge and having fun with it every time. But there is a theme — you can hear the hip-hop influences no matter what song it is.”Jesse was born and raised in San Jose, and music is simply a massive part of his life. When hehears music, lyrics will just flow through him, but sometimes he takes his time to make sureeverything is perfect. Medina thrives off using straight emotion with the beat.He has influences that date back to music his mother would play like Prince, Rick James andthe Isley Brothers. Some of his current inspirations include groups like the Gorillaz, FreestyleFellowship, TDE, Gnarls Barkley, Deftones, Chelsea Grin and Portishead. When he was just 10 years old, he started writing music. Through life experiences and hisinspirations, he has been able to create his own personal sound and touch.Jesse is always working. His current projects are a three-song EP, called This Way Westward,as well as an EP with unreleased songs called Nostalgia Nuggets.“No Ma’am” is available on all platforms, and Extrasensory Modes of Perception is scheduledfor an August 3 release.Be sure to follow Jesse Medina’s musical journey on all platforms.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/creator-to-creators-with-meosha-bean--4460322/support.

    Jul 16 2024
    Bio:
Born and raised in New Bedford, MA, Belle Vex’s journey into the spotlight was as eclectic as his music. Initially captivated by the allure of acting, he immersed himself in the arts from a young age, exploring the depths of creativity through various instruments, including the cello. However, the universe had other plans, leading him on a tumultuous path marked by unexpected twists and turns.
A move to California in pursuit of an acting career proved fleeting, disrupted by life-altering car accidents that forced Belle Vex to reassess his path. It was during a deep and dark, pivotal moment of introspection that his true calling emerged – music. With unwavering determination, he embraced this new chapter, leaving his dreams behind for the studio, and thus, Belle Vex was born.
Infusing his music with a distinctive blend of “cool,” Belle Vex’s sonic landscape is a reflection of his journey – raw, authentic, and unfiltered. His songs serve as a conduit for personal growth and self-discovery, delving into the depths of desire, resilience, and the human experience with a candidness that is both refreshing and empowering.

  • Creator to Creators S6 Ep 26 Norman Collins
    Jul 3 2024
By Kurt Beyers- Edited by L Casserly Boomerang BeatTo introduce his new album, Front Porch Philosopher, Norman Collins offers “I Wanna Rule Somebody,” a pure piece of hard-driving, rock guitar and messaging in which the subject is the betrayal of belief and trust. The album and the single will be released on May 22.Guitar and a steady, hard fast drum begin, but not just to philosophy’s beat. In this song, we get rock metaphysics. After the rest of the band crashes in, setting the rhythm and harmony of the argument, Norman introduces the subject:Join my church, I canSave your lifeTake my hand, and I mightWant your wifeThe song, and the album, are full of Norman’s brand of progressive Americana. It is a fusion of a lot of different kinds of music —but mainly rock, blues, soul and country — and delivered hot and sweet.“I Wanna to Rule Somebody” is rock with what he describes as something like “Led Zeppelin goes country punk.”Oddly, the only tone that might be called “philosophical” is Norman when he’s talking about the album. What does he want to say about “I Wanna to Rule Somebody” or Front Porch Philosopher“Well there’s — I hate to brag — but there’s some pretty good guitar playing on there. If people like guitar playing, there’s good solos and,” he pauses, thinks a second, continues, “oh, nice chord changes. And interesting arrangements.”Which is a sedate, academic way to talk about music that, fast or slow, gets the pulse involved in listening and drives lyrics into heads like nails into walls.Let me prove, that you Got a soul Join our faith, underMy controlProposition-conclusion, proposition-conclusion. Drums provide punctuation.I wanna to rule, rule somebodyI don’t care about who it isNorman knows his music and, as in “Get Back in the Car,” “What the Cat Dragged In” and “All I Wanted Was Roses,” he also knows how to put a story into lyrics.Norman has been making music, playing, and touring with a wide variety of musicians and bands since the late ’60s, mainly out of San Francisco, though he was born and raised in St. Louis. He has also lived and worked in Nashville.Progressive Americana, for him, he says, “has something to do with a little bit of country and blues,” but influenced by much of American music from the last century. That becomes clear as he talks about influences.“Everybody has the Beatles and the Rolling Stones and Chuck Berry as influences,” he said. “But I also like bands like, say, The Lovin’ Spoonful. Nobody seems to mention them much. I like them a lot. I bought every album by them.”He includes all the English invasion bands, not only the Beatles and the Stones but bands such as the Zombies and the Kinks. He puts in San Francisco bands like Jefferson Airplane, Neil Young, Hot Tuna and others. As he goes on, he comes to people as varied in time and place as Howlin’ Wolf, Sturgill Simpson, Rodney Crowell, BB King, Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb, John Lee Hooker, early Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green.Progressive Americana indeed. His 2023 EP, Something to Say, has almost come to define the term for much of South America.“Hey Marie,” a single from that album, went close to viral on that continent and in Spain, said Larry Casserly, Norman’s artist manager. “Due to my flexibility and experience, I enjoy the opportunity to stay busy here on the West Coast” Collins mentions. The band in Something to Say and Front Porch Philosophers is Norman Collins and the Tumblers.“I’ve been performing my own songs since I was 28,” he said. “I had a pretty popular band here in San Francisco, The Confessions, back in ’81, and since then I’ve never been out of an original band.Front Porch Philosopher has a mix of old and new material. “I Wanna to Rule Somebody” and others are older tracks redone with a new producer/ arranger, Paul Kraushaar owner of PSR Recording. “Paul did a great job with these songs. The songs are more aggressive,” said Norman. “The guitar playing is more aggressive, the drums are more aggressive.”“We are mostly playing festivals and clubs type venues right now, and I’d like to take a step up in that direction” Norman states. “I know this new release will provide for more recognition and a chance to tour more places, larger venues and hopefully attract attention from an Indie label that believes in this music and might be willing to invest in this project,” said Norman. “This band,” he said, “is ready to go.”Get ready and go with Norman Collins and the Tumblers and connect on all platforms for new music, videos, and social posts.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/creator-to-creators-with-meosha-bean--4460322/support.

  • Creator to Creators S6 Ep 25 Sisaundra
    Jun 26 2024
Country is introduced to soaring, old school gospel, with R&B making the introduction,
in “You Remain,” a joyous song of worship from Sisaundra, host of The Sisaundra Show
    on AFRO TV.
“You Remain,” released March 5, is worship music that can get believers dancing and
    make non-believers wishing they believed.
“It’s a beautiful tapestry of music that my friends and I put together to — of course
—honor God,” said Sisaundra. “It’s basically talking about God, that He remains the
    same today, yesterday and forever.”
The song begins in bluegrass as her country self begins with soft, fast drums, guitars,
fiddle and banjo in the background. Then it’s off into joyful music and Sisaundra’s
powerful voice running up and down the scale in three minutes of worship that are
surely pleasing to the ears of God and people.
She and her band, For the Culture, began working on it last year, shortly after she
released another worship song, “Yes (You’d Hear My Mom Say).”
“The music is all live,” she said, “from violins to guitars, from upright bass to steel guitar.
We have amazing singers, amazing players.”
Singer, songwriter and producer, Sisaundra has worked as vocal director and
choreographer for Celine Dion, recorded and performed on stage with artists such as
Peabo Bryson, Janet Jackson, George Duke, Sheila E., Gloria Estefan, Enrique
    Iglesias, Patti LaBelle and Najee.
She was on Blake Shelton’s team in season 6 of “The Voice.”
The first single she ever put out, “Shout,” was a No. 1 U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club hit.
Monday through Friday, at 7 p.m. Eastern time — sharp — she hosts The Sisaundra
Show on Comcast Xfinity Channel 1623, streaming on NOW. That’s her regular work,
    filming five days a week.
She also has a monthly show, AFROJams, where she hosts some of today’s top artists
    as they give live performances.
As she says in the opening of “You Remain,” Sisaundra is a country woman, Southern
born, and in this song, she is presenting her country self to God and the world.
The subject is in the roots of her faith, talking to God, telling him she knows that “You
    remain the same.”
“He’s the one thing that we can depend on, the constant that we can depend on,” she
said. “That’s what ‘You Remain’ is about.”
Though the song was written about eight months ago, she said now, the Easter season,
is the proper time to release it.
“Easter is coming up, and it being country at heart, the idea of the song makes the
    timing perfect in today’s world.”
Soon, “You Remain” will get its own, exclusive performance on The Sisaundra Show.
“I’m hoping that the song is going to touch the hearts of everyone who hears it,” she
said, “that they will open their hearts to it and that it will bless them.”

    https://www.instagram.com/awgiuent

Musician and producer Nate Young—otherwise known as Se7enDigits is set to release his latest
single, “Change Your Mind” on June 3 through his label, AWGIU Entertainment. The single
invites listeners to reflect on the failed communication that often occurs in relationships.
Born in South Korea, Se7enDigits was adopted at age one and raised in Pennsylvania with his
sister. His passion for music began developing early on, inspired by his sister’s participation in
band. By age six, Se7enDigits began to learn the piano and, later on, orchestral music.
For Se7enDigits, music is a means of connection and healing. He brings personal experiences of
pain and struggle into his compositions, which are based in the style of hip hop and R&B.
Se7enDigits cites musical influences including Tory Lanez, J. Cole, and PNB Rock.
Now, Se7enDigits is a multitalented musician and producer with a bachelor’s degree in
Recording Arts and a focus in mixing engineering. The name “Se7enDigits” is both a play on the
digits in a telephone number and a personal experience. When Se7enDigits was younger, he
was teased at school for having seven fingers instead of ten; now, he takes any misinformed
negativity in stride, teasing back with his moniker.
