Since Covid, the law has changed - but only to allow more flexibility within a licensed venue.   

An independent celebrant offers a personal connection and a bespoke ceremony in any venue. That ceremony is not currently legal, but UK marriage law is being reformed, and celebrants are hoping for a change in their favour. 

They want to be licensed to conduct legal, bespoke weddings. If you’re planning a wedding now, Alicen advises taking time to find out all the options.

An interview with the talented writer Clare Flynn, who moved from a high-profile management marketing role into the world of historical fiction.   She is now a proud award-winning author of 14 historical novels and is busy working on her 15th book.
