    Dr. Gulati is the President-Elect of the American Society for Preventive Cardiology (ASPC). She was a Professor of Medicine and the inaugural Chief of Cardiology at the University of Arizona.

    Attorney Brandon is an athlete’s lawyer with Law Offices of Howard L. Jacobs and represents athletes in, among other matters, anti-doping cases.

    We discussed the substances at issue in the Kamila Valieva Olympics anti-doping case and the viability of the defense offered by Ms. Valieva as reported and available in putative appeal documents filed by the World Anti-Doping Agency. We also learned how the Court of Arbitration for Sport works, strict liability, the controversial topic of Protected Persons in the WADA Code, and we discussed the weighing of irreparable harm to other stakeholders and parties in interest.

    We pick up where the news stops. It is a thorough analysis of the world of anti-doping cases and performance enhancement through banned substances where you hear from experts and learn the nuances that you haven’t learned elsewhere.
