Whether its planned or how life happens, working women or stay at home moms, households depend more heavily on husband's income. When the husband is removed from the household, the available resources suffer more for divorced women led households after divorce than for men. Marriage are shorter, divorce rates are up, and likelihood of remarriage for women is down. We also tend to live longer than men.
