In this podcast, Representative Beth Liston, MD, talks about some of her learning from service on the State’s Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee about the challenges for many patients in navigating the Medicaid system in the post-pandemic world.

In 2023 all Medicaid members have to renew their health coverage. This re-enrollment is happening on a rolling basis. Not all eligible children and adults are making it through this re-enrollment process.

Doctors who want to advise or help their patients with the re-enrollment process, can refer patients to free healthcare navigation assistance from https://getcoveredohio.org/ or by calling(833) 628-4467 or (833) NAV-4INS.

Get Covered Ohio is a collaborative effort to connect Ohioans to free information and assistance exploring their health insurance options, enrolling in health coverage, and understanding and using their coverage. It is led by the Ohio Association of Foodbanks and includes eight local and regional organizations providing Navigator services.
