  • A post-apocalyptic sci-fi world set in the distant future, where machines control the fate of humanity. Intelligent machines have enslaved humans for centuries, but one human, Jane, who is eight months pregnant, finds herself on the run from her captors. The story is told using cycles of multiple characters’ points of view, where we also meet Azar, a man whose life decisions lead up to the cause of the machine's apocalypse. We also meet Ace, a bedraggled recruit to the rebellion. Lastly, we meet Enzo, one of the machines commissioned to find Jane and bring her to the all-powerful leader of the machines—The Alpha.
