    Dr. Monica Michel is a true people person, who after receiving her medical degree from St. Matthews University and postgraduate medical training in general surgery, knew she wanted more and set out to combine her love of medicine with her passion for beauty. Now, as the CEO and Founder of SOMA MD, an award-winning medical aesthetics practice that takes an outcomes-based approach to beauty, has done just that and hopes to change the industry for good by counseling patients on how they want to feel, not just how they want to look.

    In this interview, we chat with Dr. Monica Michel about how she got to where she is today, where she is going, her non-negotiables while building her business, and her personal mantra 'be kind'.
