  • In her mid-twenties, Dahlia fell in love and married a man with two children, instantly taking on the role of mother at a young age. She had always wanted to have children of her own as well, until those hopes were crushed by personal and medical circumstances. Facing a series of shattered dreams, Dahlia tried returning to her old life of drinking and partying in an attempt to numb the pain. Her coping mechanism spiraled slowly out of control and into full-fledged alcoholism. Dahlia's self-awareness and commitment to battling her genetic predisposition enabled her to crawl out of the bottle and into a rehabilitation program.
