  • Join MikeD and TI as we continue with the fifth part of an eight part series! We'll be taking a unique tour around the various whisky regions of Scotland from a carefully crafted whisky box.

    Sample 8:

    Tormore distillery

    Age: 5 years

    Cask: Barrel; 180 - 200L

    Nose: Nutty barley and juicy pear, with a whisper of tropical fruit zestiness

    Palate: Malted milk biscuits, fried dough, white pepper and sawdust

    Finish: Lemon, salted caramel, and a hint of heather

    Sample 14:

    Linkwood distillery

    Age: 5 years

    Cask: Barrel; 180 - 200L

    Nose: Rancio, raisins, white wine, white grape, cinnamon, oak, malt, green tea

    Palate: Red fruits, Rancio, white wine, oak, malt, lime, green tea, white pepper

    Finish: Medium finish with oak, malt, white wine, ending with nutmeg and lime

    Sample 16:

    Benrinnes distillery

    Age: 5 years

    Cask: Hogshead; 225 - 250L

    Nose: Sweet, herbal and oily

    Palate: Fruit and spice

    Finish: A long, satisfying finish with a hint of sandalwood
