Austin is known as the Music Capital of the World. We think it's time to make this statement true again. It's time that we bring some optimism back to the music scene here in Austin. providing real opportunity for artist to express themselves in their own unique way. • Jo has a passion for bringing conversation about mental health and the battles that artist typically face behind closed doors. There is too much stigma around what artist can and can't say in the industry.     Jennifer Nash is an Actress & fellow podcaster that grew up here in Austin, TX. Amidst the pandemic she picked up everything and moved to France. In this episode of Eazy Does It we dove into her career, her inspiration to take action, and make her dreams come true. After High School here in Austin Jennifer attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art before pursuing a career in Television, Theater and Film acting, writing and producing. She also spent time as a casting producer for Netflix. • Jennifer is about to release a new podcast called, The Last Saturday Night, a new Sci-Fi Series. THis series will feature a ton of recognizable actors & actresses that contributed to the project during the COVID lockdown.     Angel is a musician from outside Dallas Texas. Angel is coming on the scene here hard in Austin. I hope you’ll call it home before too long. This was Angel's first podcast, and he did a beautiful job of articulating what drives his creativity and I appreciate his ability to express it on his own terms. With each question I asked I could tell the amount of time that Angel has spent in his head thinking about things. This is a very important trait. He wasn’t repeating things verbatim, he wasn’t saying what he thought people wanted to hear, it was authenticity in action. Everything this platform was built for. It was refreshing to know that people are out here caring and choosing to open their hearts. • Go check out Angel’s new single Friend or Lover that was released in November.     I’ve been looking forward to this one for sometime. I couldn’t be prouder to see your success at this point. If you don’t know Matt you should. He couldn’t be a more genuine, humble, & talented dude. We discussed where it all started, the grind it took to get to this point, the ebb and flow of making art his full time profession. If you’re an aspiring artist or admire the craft you’ll dig this one. • Matt is cool, calm, and collected. His style is unique. His career is blowing up, but he doesn’t forget where he came from. We spoke about his most recent gallery that opened last week at West Chelsea Contemporary. He spoke about the days where he had to do everything. Transport, hang, light, and organize everything from the art to the display stickers. Things are changing. Matt is riding a wave that he has worked his ass off to catch. It’s taking him from NYC to LA, but we get to catch him for a moment in time.     I had the privilege of sitting down with Night Cap last night and talking about all things music here in ATX. I love the approach these guys are taking to paving their own path. I am so excited to see where their ambition, and pursuit of authenticity takes them. • It was cool to learn that Jake and Ryan both grew up here in Hill Country. Alex brought up the fact that Austin used to have a unified identity. It was clear that Austin, and the surrounding hill country was one cohesive unit. We joked asking ourselves, “well, what are you going to do about it?”.  • The fact is that y’all are doing something about it. We all are. With every ticket, with every listen, with every like you are quite literally voting and supporting culture here in our city. I hope it was a unique and eye opening experience to showcase his creative process and local brand Trovador Customs. • It’s important to remember that everyone has their own unique way that they can connect to people, and tell stories. All of us converging and meeting here in this time of self-expression and creativity is pivotal. The time to act is now. Do your part in removing the boundaries and borders that divide us. • I can’t wait for y’all to hear this interview, get to know Ryan on a deeper level, and see that true authenticity is one our most vital traits.
