Dr. Powell is known for disrupting inequitable systems, and centering student health and wellbeing in schools, She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), school social worker, educational leader, writer and adjunct faculty member at San José State University & California State University East Bay. With a background in education, community based work and child welfare she brings a cross systems lens and experience to her work serving children, youth and families in schools and the community.
