  • Dwayne Jackson is a father of 3 & husband of 9 years. He experienced deep pain when his 2 cousins were murdered in gang violence 10 years ago. His heart was heavy & he wanted to do whatever he could to prevent other kids from falling victim to the street life. Along with his wife Karyna, they started a ministry that reached kids & taught them to live with a purpose through the game of basketball. Dwayne has combined his heart for young people & his God-given talent of basketball to create "Hoops On Mission" in SW Florida. He has mentored countless numbers of young kids from all walks of life. Two of the students he mentored starting in 4th grade, have gone on to play basketball at D1 colleges. But every student that has come through his doors has learned what it is to live with purpose through Jesus Christ & be a light in the world. There is a purpose to our pain, if we trust God & never give up.
