  • Being a mom means playing the long game, right? Actually, life is a long game whether you’re a mom or not! Sometimes we find ourselves exhausted and burnt out, but there seems to be no time to actually rest! The baby won’t sleep, kids are sick, nap time gets interrupted, we lay down and then someone wakes up…motherhood is life unexpected and interrupted! Motherhood is 100% missional. It is a laying down of our lives for our kids, but we also need rest! It seems to be a catch 22, so what do we do? In Mark 6, Jesus calls his disciples to rest, but their rest keeps getting interrupted just like ours often does. I think we can learn a lot from this chapter and the disciples on how we CAN find rest in the chaos and interruptions. Keep your eyes lifted up! He sees you!
