    Coherent Breathing:

    We are starting this episode with 5 min coherent breathing. It is a breathing technique designed to bring your heart rate, breath, and nervous system into a state of balance, promoting relaxation and wellbeing. The goal is to breathe at a rhythm of five breaths per minute, which is believed to optimise the balance between the sympathetic (fight or flight) and parasympathetic (rest and digest) branches of the autonomic nervous system. It is also a powerful way to cultivate embodiment, helping you to feel more present, grounded, and connected to your physical self.

    Get comfortable, then inhale slowly through your nose for six seconds, exhale for six seconds, and repeat this rhythm for several minutes while staying focused on your breath. If your mind wanders, gently bring your attention back.

    To enhance your practice, you can follow the sound of Tibetan bowls. As we did in our podcast episode, these sounds help maintain your breathing rhythm and deepen relaxation.
