We talk about their new singles “Death Grip” and “Happy,” which are collabs with Andrew’s current band, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, the effect of therapy on Andrew’s music, the creative marketing approach with the Out of Office tour, meditation before surfing, touring with Mae 20 years after their original tour with the band, similarities between the titles of Andrew’s song “Fire Escape” and Josh’s former band Firescape, us all working at In-N-Out Burger, the joy of living in this moment as a band, their song “Babies of the 80’s” (which you can hear me talk in detail about on this week’s episode of the Something in the Wilderness podcast), and fun they had making music videos.
