  • Resumen

  • Jesse James: Success can be measured by how well a gang is remembered, and even loved. Few are as famous, or as popular, as the ‘all American hero’ Jesse James. But is this adulation justified?

history thru lens of today's social justice.

I've been enjoying the series, but this episode used an "expert" who was completely focused on social justice and explaining everything thru the lens of white supremacy.

Very Disappointing!

Misrepresenting history

I found the depiction of Jesse James as a white supremacist fighting the war to keep slaves ridiculous and inflammatory. That was not what the war was about. It was about a people who worked and lived by the earth, the soil. A people who did not want their livelihood stolen from them by a group of hypocrites who not only owned slaves but ended up being the last to free their own slaves. And when this war was over, some such a he, continued marauding, quite possibly suffering mentally from the affects of the war.

George Floyd?

Only an academic with a degree in pretzel logic can draw a line between Jesse James and Floyd. NOBODY knows that the James family owned slaves, therefore they can’t be worshipping him as some white supremacy icon. This was such an ignorant take it almost wrecks the entire series.
Skip this episode.

Pure Propaganda

Not an accurate depiction of the Mafia, that works for the Pope, has acted as a "state" protection racket, since the Crusades and is run "exclusively" by homosexuals.

There is also "no" discussion of the anthropology of gangs, it's just a voice novel, devoid of "real" information.

Finally, Mr. Caine, whom I admire tremendously as an actor, also told a significant material "untruth." He "never" left the Mafia. As, a member of Hollywood, he's all the way in, as a "made-man." I "not" saying he doesn't deserve his status. I'm saying he lied to us, giving the audience a significantly "false" perception of both the Mafia and the State, as they have "always" worked "together." Why do you think ALL the "neighborhood-watch" people use "Mafia" gangsigns! This is potentially "extremely" dangerous for both John and Jane Doe, alike.

This novel wasn't entertaining and "decreased" our safety, by providing a completely "fictional" world view.
