  • Ever since the historic  decriminalization of homosexuality in 2018, there has been cautious optimism around the evolution of LGBTQIA+ rights in India. While there is still a long way to go in  achieving meaningful equality, the State and some private institutions have been taking incremental steps towards recognising some essential  rights to the LGBTQIA+ community, to further the fundamental right to a dignified life.
