Despite the quick battle accounts in Joshua 11, the entire Canaan conquest took about seven years, including the subsequent defeat of the Anakim giants. Hazor’s fall symbolized the triumph of the Israelites' God over Canaanite deities, contributing significantly to the Israelites’ control of Canaan.
