    Genre: Thriller

    Theme: People Are Fallible

Log line: After a young journalist breaks up with the richest man in New York, he uses his wealth and power to make her life a living hell.

    Characters:

Olivia: Protagonist, Journalist. Wants safety, needs to learn to trust and work with other people. Starts with the attitude "People are fallible, so make it alone", ends with "People are fallible, so you need to work together".

Donald Grant: Primary antagonist, billionaire ex, collects hats. Wants to punish Olivia, needs to learn that all people are fallible - and that's okay. Has the attitude "Some people are fallible. These people are not worth your time and should be punished". Played by a Kyle MacLachlan type

Jessica: Supporting character, Olivia’s sister, lawyer, arrested. Wants to prove her innocence, needs to learn that life is unfair. Starts with attitude "People are fallible, therefore trust the system". Ends with the attitude "People are fallible, and the system is made up of people"

Toby: Love interest, Cop, fugitive. Wants to get his job back and help Olivia, needs to be less trusting. Starts with the attitude "People are fallible and that's why they're interesting".

Mother: Corpse, dead, friendly. Wants Olivia to be more trusting. Had the attitude "People are fallible, but they're doing their best".

Wendy: Donald's ex wife, Olivia's potential future. Wants to stop happening to Olivia what happened to her. Has the attitude "People are fallible, therefore don't trust anyone".

Winston A gay ex-journalist who Olivia trusts with her life. After retiring, he started a journalist blog! Olivia’s other potential future.

Toby’s Judge Friend Toby’s Judge Friend: Toby thinks he's incorruptable. He may be wrong!

Francine A not-super-polite cop who works in Toby's station.

Cynthia Donald’s new girlfriend. She’s not a bad person .

    Locations:

New York Streets: It's where they keep the trash.

Outside newspaper office: Not as nice as the inside.

Hazelnut Town: Olivia's favourite cafe. Try their maple nut glaze rolls. They're the best.

Olivia’s Apartment: She keeps her stuff here. Sure hope no one ransacks it!

Police Station: Toby works here. Unfortunately, so does Francine. Also this is apparently where they take drug-smuggling lawyers who have been arrested.

Spaghettios: Olivia's favourite restaurant. Try their, uh, red wine. It's the best.

Diner: Toby firmly maintains that this place has New York's best maple nut glaze rolls.
