Episode 129: Flying True with Drones and the Public Perspective

  • Resumen

  • Technology is advancing as rapidly as public perspectives are changing. Public servants who lead the way for others on both fronts are rare. Tim Martin is one of those individuals. As a Police Captain of the Huntington Beach Police Department, Captain Martin’s LinkedIn postings about the department’s advanced utilization of drone technology were appreciated by the citizens of Huntington Beach. During a time when law enforcement was under attack in parts of the country, Captain Martin’s posts provided a positive example of the continued dedication of the Huntington Beach Police Department to serving the city.

On this episode of Biz-Souls, Rona Lewis and Jeffrey Hansler delve into the incredible work of Tim Martin, a retired Police Captain with over 25 years of experience in law enforcement, and now the Director of UAS Training at The Regional Training Center in Fountain Valley California.

Tim is an experienced Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) remote pilot and holds a Part 107 license. His expertise encompasses indoor flight, night flying, and aerial photography, which he shares as an instructor at Santa Ana College as well as The Regional Training Center.

Join us as we explore how Tim’s initiative-taking communication and pioneering use of drone technology have positively impacted public perception and safety. Learn how his innovative approaches and dedication continue to inspire and lead the way in both technology and community engagement.
