  • On April 19, 1995, the deadliest domestic terrorist attack in United States history took place in Oklahoma City. A massive explosion ripped through the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, killing 168 people and injuring hundreds more. The attack was carried out by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, two former Army soldiers who were motivated by anti-government and white supremacist ideologies.
