Episode 4: Shifting from Individualism to Collectivism with Rev. Dr. Sushmita Mukherjee

  • Resumen

  • In today’s episode, we connect with my teacher and now dear friend Rev. Dr. Sushmita Mukherjee who shares her own cultural and spiritual experience of growing up in India and now being a New Yorker/First Generation American. We discuss a societal shift from individualism to collectivism, how leaders that have been on the outskirts are really leading the charge of true transformation, the cultural changes people are navigating, what it means to wake up, and what this all means for politics. Sushmita's unique perspective as a spiritual leader and scientist provides deep insights on embracing complexity, accepting dualities, and exploring the potential for systemic change.

    Tune in to hear:

    • How Kamala Harris’s candidacy sparks collective hope for change by representing America's diversity and gaining support through her relatability
    • Ways we can navigate uncertainty by embracing life's paradoxes, advocating for systemic change, and balancing local rebuilding with federal stability.
    • The importance of advocating for ongoing collective action to shift from disconnection and individuality to a more community-centered society
