On August 7th, 1972, Jannett left her house with plans to hang out with friends. When she didn't return home, her worried parents reported her missing, but the officers dismissed her as a runaway. This changed when her remains were discovered six weeks later. Sadly, her case remains unsolved, as the investigation was overshadowed by the era's widespread Satanic Panic, obscuring the truth and hindering justice.
