Through mutual understanding, community policing will become better. But she also emphasized the importance of officers actively engaging with the community as much as possible and the need to get out of the car and talk to kids, talk to shop owners! Her most important role? Communicating values and expectations to her officers and the need for the entire community to buy into the values.
