In January 2018 a case of child abuse so shocking that it was deemed torture by the legal system rocked the world. From a seemingly idyllic Californian house, 13 starved, beaten and imprisoned children were rescued and almost thirty years of horror inflicted by their own parents was revealed, in the case of the Turpin children.
