  • I wanted to share this little story from earlier today that really touched and resonated with me. I was at my office this morning for a presentation by a chiropractic office. (I put my business card in a bowl at one of my favorite coffee places, MOTW, and I won the drawing for coffee and pastries from Premier Family Chiropractic. They are amazing, by the way! More on them to come. Stay tuned!) One of my Managing Brokers, Paul, pulled me aside and said something so encouraging and uplifting to me. (I’m paraphrasing.) He said “Darcy, I’ve been thinking about you. I think your business is going to blow up. I’ve been watching what you’re doing and you’re doing all the right things. Don’t change anything. Keep doing what you’re doing. Other agents are going to fall off. Next year is going to be great - not amazing, but great.” He said he has been around a long time and seen a lot of agents. He said I have “it” - what it takes to be successful. He said he hopes I stick around when I make it big. I thanked Paul and told him how much his words meant to me and how much I appreciated him saying those things to me. He is such a kind, genuine person. If I’m being honest, this year has been tough for me in terms of real estate. I did not come close to meeting my goal of 25 transactions. I did devote a lot of time, energy, and efforts to my podcast. I have discovered what lights me up, and that is a beautiful thing. If you’re thinking something positive about someone in your life, please tell them TODAY. It just might make their day, their week, their month, their YEAR! We need more Pauls in the world who are willing to share these compliments and uplifting sentiments.
