This podcast aims to differentiate opioid dependency from opioid use disorder, decrease the stigma of opioid misuse, and encourage those affected by it to seek treatment. The informative discussion includes first-hand perspectives of developing opioid dependency, a call to action for both healthcare professionals and patients to remember that addiction is a biological disorder and the importance of open communication to build a strong support system in the face of addiction.
