  • "I’m not a fag disguised as poet. I don’t need a disguise. Here is my face. I speak for my difference. I defend what I am", wrote the fabulous Chilean political queer activist Pedro Lemebel. Lemebel grew up in poverty and a world full of ruthless injustice. Blessed by the power of creativity, writing, and criticism, he stood up for those who did not have the power to stand up for themselves.

    This is the story of a man (or in his own words 'queen') who dedicated his life to equality. Against all odds and hardships, he strived for a world where everyone had a place.
