Federal Judge UNDERCUTS Judge Cannon's Dismissal of Trump's Classified Docs Case

  • Resumen

  • As we all know, Judge Aileen Cannon - who was appointed to the federal bench by Donald Trump - ruled that Special Counsel appointments are not lawful and she dismissed Trump's federal classified documents/obstruction of justice/espionage case. In a surprising plot twist, Hunter Biden's lawyers pointed to Judge Cannon's decision and tried to use it to convince another federal judge - Judge Mark Scarsi (who was also appointed by Trump) to dismiss the federal tax case pending against Hunter Biden.

Judge Scarsi has rejected Judge Cannon's ruling and has refused to dismiss Hunter's case, clearly signaling that he thinks Judge Cannon is dead wrong. This is no surprise as every other federal judge who has decided the special counsel issue over the years has affirmed the lawfulness of special counsel appointments, thereby disagreeing with Cannon.
