Tarek Kholoussy left his corporate job in 2013, searching for deeper meaning and human connection. He says that several life-altering events, including the death of his young cousin, led to this crucial wake-up call. Tarek decided to follow his passion for world travel and become a digital nomad.

“[Traveling] really opened my eyes [to] how different lives and cultures can be, and how much privilege I had had in my life in feeling like I won the birth lottery,” Tarek says. “I was born into a loving family and a country that afforded me so much opportunity. It helped me get this sense of gratitude, but also a sense of obligation to give back to the less privileged because, at the end of the day, we're all connected. We're all one, we're all people sharing this land, and that was a pivotal life-changing moment for me.”

After traveling to over 100 countries, Tarek was inspired to start Nomads Giving Back! and Nomads Skillshare! to foster a community of like-minded digital nomads.
