As a 2020 graduate of the AMPed podcast incubator for women of color, Natasha began this show during the pandemic. Along with her sister Rachel, Natasha has moved beyond the microphone to build resources for the foster-care community. ABOUT SARA:

Sara helps build community and connection through conscious conversations, which she does as a facilitator, TEDx speaker, writer, and consultant. After graduating from Harvard and working at Goldman Sachs, Sara pursued the science and techniques of well-being and is a certified life coach, author of two books (Flex Mom and Dear White Women: Let’s Get (Un)comfortable Talking About Racism), and co-host of Dear White Women, an award-winning weekly social justice podcast. Sara is biracial (Japanese and White), married to a White Canadian man, and is raising their two White-presenting girls to be compassionate, thoughtful advocates. They live in Denver, Colorado with their incredibly lovable dog.

In this episode, we talk about the benefits of podcasting as an audio companion, creating a platform, and an invitation to bring ourselves into the stories we share.

ABOUT JO ANN

She’s currently a news anchor, reporter, and mentor at Colorado Public Radio in Denver.  In addition, Jo Ann has taught radio journalism as an adjunct professor at Long Island University in Brooklyn where she served seven years on a committee that decides the recipients of the George Polk Awards for Investigative Journalism.

In this prologue to the show, Rebecca Mendoza Nunziato and Jeanette Harris-Courts share origin stories, industry critiques, and their hopes and dreams that led to the creation of this very podcast.
