  • Janet grew up in the 1950s and 60s. Her ideas about race and ethnicity were formed by the prevailing culture of the East coast and her parents' beliefs and lessons. Then came life. Her beliefs changed and the culture changed a bit too, over the years. Now, she passes on her acquired beliefs to her family and friends.
