It might feel like summer just started, but SEC Media Days for the 2024 football season is only a few days away. South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer will be joined by seniors Luke Doty, Boogie Huntley, and Debo Williams to get things started on Monday morning.

It's only June, but it's already been an extremely busy summer for South Carolina Athletics. It's been the month of new faces as the Gamecocks have hired four new head coaches to lead their respective programs. The combined resumes include multiple national championships, and a pair of coaches making a return to Columbia. Ashley Chastain, a former University of South Carolina student athlete and graduate assistant, is the Gamecocks' new head softball coach. She comes back home to Carolina after serving as the head coach for the Charlotte 49ers for the last five years, where she led her team to a pair of postseason berths. Welcome Home, Coach Chastain.

Spring football is wrapped up after the completion of the Garnet and Black Spring Game last Saturday, the confetti is cleaned up from the women's basketball championship parade, men's basketball is active in the transfer portal, and spring sports are getting ready for the postseason.
