    Yoel Ben David:

    Yoel Ben David has been serving with Jews for Jesus for over 20 years, beginning his ministry while studying at Israel College of the Bible. Born in Israel but raised in Europe, Yoel came to faith in Jesus in 2001 during his military service in the Head Rabbinical Corps. His journey to Christianity started with a deep exploration of the Torah and Jewish mysticism, ultimately leading him to the New Testament and a transformative encounter with Isaiah 53.

    After earning an MA in theology and leadership from Western Seminary, Yoel has held various roles within Jews for Jesus including work in the USA, UK, and head of training for missionary staff in Israel. He now leads the work in Jerusalem, bringing the gospel to the city where his faith journey began.

    Yoel and his wife, Adel, who also works with Jews for Jesus, have four children. Their eldest daughter, Noa, has completed her military service, while their son, Boaz, is currently a combat soldier. Their younger children, Nati and Naomi, are still in high school.

    Sophia embarked on a legal education at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, in Brazil, with the dream of working in the field of human rights. In August 2021, deeply troubled by the human rights violations faced by the Afghan population, particularly women, Sophia initiated a humanitarian aid project for Afghans. This project evolved into an NGO, Panahgah, formally established in March 2022. By the end of 2022, Panahgah had successfully provided support and resettlement for over 700 Afghans in Brazil and had formed valuable partnerships with organisations like the International Organization for Migration and the United Nations.

    In this episode of "God on the Move," Dr. Victor Petrenko shares about his upbringing during the Soviet Union and how, after his father served two and a half years in prison, his family had to flee Belarus for Latvia. From there, Victor planned youth trips to Siberia to share the Gospel with people who hadn’t heard about Jesus in over 70 years. Inspired by the Lausanne Moscow Congress in 1990, he travelled beyond the Arctic Circle to a small town called "The End of the Earth" to preach the Gospel and helped to smuggle thousands of Bibles into China. From stories of horrendous persecution to the miraculous gift of God that is the Latvian Biblical Centre, Victor recalls how the Lord has been there all along.
