  • आपल्या महाराष्ट्रातील प्राचीन,पुरातन मंदिरे म्हणजे जणू इतिहासाच्या पाऊलखुणाच.या मंदिरांच्या वास्तू रचनेवरून आणि त्यातील कला कौशल्यावरुन ती कोणत्या राजवटीत घडवलेली असतील याचा अंदाज बांधता येतो.नाशिक जिल्ह्यातील सिन्नर येथील श्री गोंदेश्वराचे मंदिर असेच आपल्या जडण घडणीवरुन यादव काळातील म्हणजे १२ व्या शतकातील असल्याचे समजते.शैव पंचायतन म्हणून ओळखल्या जाणाऱ्या या मंदिरात शिव,पार्वती,गणेश,विष्णू यांच्या बरोबरच सूर्याचे मंदिरही आहे.

    The ancient temples of Maharashtra are like the footprints of history. From the architectural design and artistry of these temples, one can guess the regime in which they were built. One such example is the temple of Shri Gondeshwar at Sinnar in Nashik district is believed to belong to the Yadav period, i.e. 12th century. Here, there is a temple of Surya along with Shiva, Parvati, Ganesha, and Vishnu and is known as Shaiva Panchayatan!
