Shaila serves on the advisory board for Tomorrow's Cities and leads GenderCC Women for Climate Justice. She is also a Senior Advisor for the Pittachhara Forest & Biodiversity Conservation Initiative and works with the National Alliance for Drowning Prevention. With over twenty years of experience, including her role as the former COO of the Disaster Climate Change Unit at DPHE, Shaila was honored with the 2023 WIN DRR Leadership Award for Excellence in Asia-Pacific by the UNDRR.
