How does Poland’s membership in the European Union contribute to the relations with Israel? How have the Polish-Israeli relations in fields such as culture, business and academy been changing over the past 20 years?

We have talked to our dear friends, great experts in the field of Polish-Israeli relations both from Poland and Israel. In our new podcast episode, they shared with us their observations and experiences from the last 20 years and even more, speaking of their work and how it benefits to cooperation and dialogue between the two countries.

A joint exhibition of works by Israeli painter and graphic artist Aviva Blum and by Polish painter Wojciech (Vojtek) Cieśniewski will be available for viewing at the President Hotel Gallery in Jerusalem from 2 May until 13 June 2024. On this occasion we met with both painters and people involved in the exhibition to hear a touching story about their encounter and friendship. We are thrilled to share with you this episode devoted to the timeless, humanistic and healing role of art.

Although Cieśniewski and Blum belong to separate worlds and generations, their paths crossed several years ago thanks to one photograph taken in 1948 in Otwock, a small town near Warsaw. In cooperation of the POLIN Museum of History of Polish Jews, Museums in Otwock and Płock, Beata and Jacek Twardowski – artistic and social activists, together with curators Tamara Sztyma from Poland and Tama Krudo from Israel – the joint exhibition of Aviva Blum and Wojciech Cieśniewski will be opened for the first time in Israel. Among various works, the audience will also have an extraordinary opportunity to see newly painted works of Cieśniewski inspired by the tragic events of the 7th of October 2024.
