We’re back on the albums again! Part Seven, 240-231.

This week features D’Angelo and The Vanguard, Joy Division, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, and seven other artists to continue this massive undertaking. Hmm, who else could there be? ;)

I really loved all the contenders for this week’s lyric title, so I wanted to mention the others that were in the running, but that were ultimately beat out by Our House-

“It was me, waiting for me”
Song: New Dawn Fades Artist: Joy Division

“Shut your mouth off and focus on what you feel inside”
Song: Ain’t That Easy Artist: D’Angelo

    “Carry on, love is coming”
    Song: Carry On Artist: CSN&Y

Oh it’s a major endeavor, alright.

I’m going to try to listen to at least 10 albums a week for the rest of the year!

    Yeah, I’m not joking.

Media, art, and entertainment publication Paste Magazine came out with a list of the 300 best albums and we’re going to go through them all! Well, I’m going to.

And then we’re going to talk about it! Great tracks, themes, history, info, related artists, cultural context, personal experiences- they’re all going to play a part in these reviews.

Totally stoked because I love music. (And a little intimidated! Because this is a lot to process)

    -

If we keep up with an episode per week featuring 10 albums each, we’ll just about finish by the end of 2024.

We’re doing this! Yay!! Glad you’re along for the ride,

How do you stop doing something that you wish you didn’t do?

There are theories, and we discuss a couple of them today. Plus all kinds of bad habits that can plague us humans: small, large, humorous, dangerous. Some that would be bad habits for one person and are simply diverting activities for others.

Give yourself more freedom to enjoy your life! Glad you’re here,

In these nonstop “unprecedented” times, this past weekend was particularly eventful.

I wanted to come to you today with a way to help transcend the individual challenges of life, that en masse can work together to keep you down.

But there is more availabile than just challenges and suffering.

    We’re going to be okay,

We’re back on the albums again! Part Six, 250-241.

This week features Alice Coltrane, Eric B. & Rakim, Sex Pistols, and seven other artists to continue this massive undertaking. Hmm, who else could there be? ;)

Well, to give you an extra hint, the title of today’s show comes from a Steely Dan lyric, which I meant to refer to and then forgot to say in the midst of the excitement. Sorry for the oversight!

Multiple related artists and yet so many eclectic sounds. You also get to hear me attempt to describe (again) how I felt about an album that I was less than pleased with, without being rude.

I've been thinking alot lately about Art as a Function of Human Survival.

Also about more a content existence in general. (Content like calm and happy, not content like internet consumption lol.)

Today's Summer Encouragement emanates from some of those musings.

Take a deep breath. Glad you're here in ev sense,
