This week we chat with one of Kellin's oldest childhood pals, Kristen Bartlett and her lovely other half, Jason Gore.

Kristen is a five-time Emmy-nominated writer and performer, and is so insanely talented with her word. Her husband Jason is a hilarious comedian, writer, actor, podcaster and voice artist. Jason has a hysterical podcast called 108.9 The Hawk, in addition to The Best Show with Tom Scharpling that you will promptly want to check out. These two have some serious stacks of credits and accomplishments as artists, and we are thrilled to be welcoming them into the box today. For our first episode back for SEASON 2 of Head In A Box we chat with the ever talented and lovely, Polly Schattel (She/her).

Polly is a writer and filmmaker who has written and directed three award-winning, internationally distributed feature films. Her first novel, The Occultists, was published by JournalStone in 2020, followed by Shadowdays (2022) and 8:59:29 (2023).

Proudly and passionately transgender, she lives in the mountains of Asheville, NC with her wife and four wild and vicious animals who love people food.
