July 2025 is a juicy month astrologically. With Uranus finally moving into Gemini, we are, for the first time, experiencing the highly anticipated new cosmic backdrop in the flesh – all three outer planets in fire or air signs, the Nodes squarely in Pisces-Virgo axis, Saturn in Aries, and Jupiter in Cancer.

As with any new beginnings, July brings invitations for the past to come and dance with us.

Some questions to contemplate:

• What past skills and wisdom can I bring to the situations unfolding right in front of me?

What is the role of the creative mystics in times of great change, confusion, and upheaval?

How might deeply studying impermanence resource our hearts and spirit?

Awakening of The Heart by Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh has been a guiding text for me. It's provided an endless stream of inspiration, encouragement, and illumination.

Most notably, I'm finding strength from the lucid, gentle correction he offered in understanding the concept of impermanence. Its colloquial use often connotes a certain pessimism, an attitude of "What's the point of doing anything if everything passes anyway?"

In this episode, I walk through Thich Nhat Hanh's writings on the subject, while also reflecting deeply through the lens of my path as an astrologer, a mystic, and an artist.

Residing on Puvungna Land, TanyaMarck Oviedo (they/them) is a two spirit, nonbinary, queer, native indigenous person of color and person in recovery (1989). As an embodied care practitioner, educator and mentor, they share over 3 decades of care-centric wisdom and channeling via space holding, circle facilitation, mentoring, and community service work. They maintain credentials, certificates, and training in ways that align and expand their practices and amplify their offerings.

TanyaMarck and Pluto (very magical beagle) are the founders of Vamonos, a healing arts and care practice that’s deeply rooted in curanderismo and community service. Vamonos prioritizes accessible care for our vulnerable + marginalized communities.

How does astrology help us inhabit and experience our aliveness more deeply?

On the surface, it's easy to misunderstand astrology as a strictly intellectual, imaginal, and abstract practice. This was certainly my perception at the start of my journey. Years into learning and practicing alongside Sabrina, I've found the opposite to be true.

Earlier this year, I received a life-changing EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) session with Sabrina. I invited her to the podcast for a deeper dive into her profound experiences with EFT and how it has helped her reconnect with her emotional and artistic self. We delved into the nuances of aliveness, distinguishing it from mere regulation, and explore how astrology can be more than just a spiritual guide but a path to deeper embodiment.

We also discussed the influence of Pluto on personal transformation, the challenges of managing primal energies like rage, and working with resistance and trauma as diviners.
