Though my early years 60s-80s had only two small star projectors, my future wife and I did stay busy under other starry domes!

So my first planetarium at home was a white square Cake Box from Topps Discount (long defunct), no mounting, just a flashlight bulb run by 2 D batteries.  Some 7 years later i would build a similar one with an Earth Globe in the walk in closet of my first apartment, about 76.  But then my interest slept until the 90s!

Beyond your first VISIT to a planetarium can be the first time you turn on your OWN planetarium, regardless of how you came to have it at home.  For me it began at a friend's house in suburban Chicago.
