  • On April 21, 2018, the Lee County Sheriff’s responded to a report of a just occurred shooting in Bonita Springs, Florida. Upon arrival on scene, deputies discovered 25 year old Destiney Bocanegra shot to death outside of a friend’s home. Further investigation revealed she was a victim of a drive-by shooting in the late hours of the night.

    Destiney was pregnant at the time of her death, and was the mother of a small child. Unfortunately, her child was present that night and witnessed the shooting. Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible for this crime, and request that anyone with information contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
