  • In this episode, I speak with special guest Paula West. Paula is the General Manager of Inspired Homes. I have been fortunate enough to have known Paula for many years having even worked with her some time ago. She is a truly inspirational leader in the building industry not only in WA by around Australia. Paula is an accomplished member of Master Builders Association of Western Australia, serving as Deputy Chair of Housing Council. She has been in the building and construction industry for over 35 years and is the first female builder Board Member of MBAWA and a Board Member of the Construction Training Fund. Paula is also an MBA National Jobs and Skills Councillor, where she works to create opportunities and build capacity across the sector. As an Ambassador for Women Building Australia Paula is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the industry. Her commitment to excellence and passion for driving positive change make her a valuable asset to the industry and is a true advocate and ambassador for Women in the building industry.You will learn how she started on her path in the building industry from the young age of 6 years, being inspired by Mike Brady who was an architect on the show the Brady Bunch and how she used this concept to not only craft a long term career but to bring up a magnificent close knit family with her husband. She talks about mentoring, and those she sought out to help grow her career and how she now enjoys doing the same for those seeking a career in the building industry.
