Dr. Latonia Craig, CDP, EdD, MEd, MA is an educator and scholar who is AVMA’s first chief diversity, equity, & inclusion (DEI) officer. Before taking the role in 2022, she served as assistant dean for inclusive excellence at the Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Craig brings over 17 years of experience designing, implementing, and assessing successful DEI programming for various groups including but not limited to: non-profit associations, industry partners, academic institutions, veterinary organizations, government agencies, etc.). So, she is an expert in understanding how to lead impactful change effectively as she lays out tips and strategy.
