Psalm 34:18 reminds us that "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God sees your pain and is ready to help you begin the healing journey.

In seeking healing, we have to first confront the loss of trust. As we question God's goodness, we find ourselves not trusting God. Then we have to deal with isolation, where we stop participating and we find ourselves withdrawing - where we might even see ourselves avoiding church and community.

Learning to confront spiritual apathy equips us to find passion again for the things of God. But sadly, church hurt can be the seed of bitterness and unforgiveness. This only deepens the wounds and hinders our spiritual growth.

Hopefully, this episode will help you build a defense against all of these strategies that come against you as you confront church hurt.
