  • Khary Mitchell, one of the admins of the Black Golfers Association, Facebook group, joins me on this episode, to share his golf journey as part of the,"50 Black Golf Stories" series.

    Khary describes his introduction to golf, saying that as a kid, while watched Calvin Pete on TV with their father and uncles. Khary was asked if he wanted to join his father and uncles for a round, but his initial reaction was that he didn't like the way the players were "beating up the earth".

    However, He eventually took up the game and has since become a "golf diehard", coaching others and building a community for black golfers.
