  • Good day, folks! Time for your daily weather update coming right at ya from the National Weather Service.

    Today in 3 Miles North-Northwest of Gretna Louisiana, we've got a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4pm. It's going to be sunny with a high near 94 degrees, but watch out for those heat index values climbing as high as 107. The wind will be coming in from the west at around 5 miles per hour.

    Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with a low around 80 degrees. The wind will shift from south to west after midnight, still cruising at about 5 miles per hour.

    Moving on to Wednesday, we're looking at a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. It will be mostly sunny with a high near 94 degrees, and heat index values reaching up to 106. The wind will transition from west to east, hovering at around 5 miles per hour.

    As we head into the latter part of the week, Thursday may bring a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms alongside sunny skies and a high near 94 degrees. Wind patterns will vary from calm to north at about 5 miles per hour.
