Hola Amigos, in today’s episode of The NextDay Nomad Podcast, I interview a fellow Digital Nomad/Expat Becky Nova, the founder of Lady Landlords, who transitioned from a corporate job in cancer research to becoming a digital nomad and successful real estate investor. Becky's journey began with a move to Spain and Portugal, where she owned a tour company and a bar.
After facing financial challenges, she returned to the United States and ventured into real estate investing, acquiring multifamily properties in the New York City area.Becky and I discuss being open to new opportunities and being willing to make changes in your life to pursue your passions, as Becky did.
Real estate investing can provide a stable income and the flexibility to travel and live in different locations. They advocate about even making the smallest step by asking your employer about remote work options and exploring ways to create a life that doesn't require a vacation.
To connect with other women interested in real estate investing, Becky founded the Lady Landlords community. This community quickly grew to 50,000 members, providing resources and support for women seeking financial freedom through real estate. Becky emphasizes the importance of taking control of one’s financial future and creating diverse income streams.
She encourages aspiring digital nomads to set clear goals and reverse-engineer their path to achieve them. Her travel advice is to pack half as much clothing and bring twice as much money.
