In Her Own Words - The Case for Christina Boyer

  • Resumen

  • In a very special episode of Dead Air, we welcome parapsychologists Dr. Jeannie Dollar and Dr. Bryan Williams and calling in live from Pulhaski State Prison for Women, Christina Boyer
In 1984, CHRISTINA (BOYER) RESCH manifested telekinesis events at her Columbus, Ohio home that drew significant news media interest. She came to be known as "The Poltergeist Girl". Resch's story was featured on a 1993 episode of Unsolved Mysteries. Her case attracted the interest of renowned parapsychologist Dr. William Roll of the University of West Georgia. In 1994, Resch accepted a plea bargain with prosecutors to being responsible for the death of her three-year-old daughter that had occurred while the daughter was being looked after by her boyfriend, and she was sentenced to life imprisonment. A questionable charge and sentence that remains the subject of extreme controversy. Tina will join us to discuss her life and the events that led to her incarceration.
DR. JEANNIE LEGAL DOLLAR has enjoyed a successful career as a medical speech pathologist and, prior to and throughout her lifetime, has dedicated herself to work in clinical psychology and parapsychology. She began with the PRF and William G. (Bill) Roll when she first met Christina Boyer in 1984. Jeannie graduated with a B.S. in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 1976 from Auburn University and, in 1979, completed the M.A. in Humanistic Psychology from West Georgia College. She later received the M.S. in Communication Sciences Disorders in 1994 from the University of Alabama. From 1984 to present Jeannie participated in the first and only scientific research of RSPK (recurrent spontaneous psychokinesis) and the highly significant results of ongoing phenomena. She remains adamant of Christina's innocence and her telekinetic ability.
DR. BRYAN WILLIAMS is research director of the Psychical Research Foundation based in Carrollton, Texas, USA. He is the author of parapsychology monographs including Psychic Phenomena and the Brain: Exploring the Neuropsychology of Psi (2015). His research focuses on exploring field-like influences on the behavior of random number generators. He studied cognitive psychology at the University of New Mexico. In 2008, he took up a research position at the Psychical Research Foundation (PRF), which was established in 1961 with an endowment to the Duke Parapsychology Laboratory for research into the survival of consciousness question. The PRF enjoyed a productive period under the leadership of Danish-born parapsychologist William Roll, whom Williams later succeeded as research director.
