Winner of a Cannes Film Festival Award for 3 Women, you know Shelley from Popeye, Roxanne, and Nashville. But she is most famous for her incredible performance in the movie that we focused on: The Shining. We talk about dry goods, Rumpelstiltskin, Phil McGraw’s shamelessness, and Taco. Rest in peace Shelley Duvall.

    In this episode, we celebrate the life and artistry of Martin Mull (and briefly Richard Moll) who passed away on 27 June 2024. Nominated for an Emmy for Veep, Martin was an accomplished musician, painter, and actor. You know him as Colonel Mustard in Clue. We focused on one of the greatest movies ever made THINK BIG with the Barbarian Brothers. We talk about the history of white people, Linda Ronstadt, 12 massive dumps, and loose belly shirts. Rest in peace Martin Mull.

Winner of an Honorary Academy Award, you know him from MASH, Ordinary People, Backdraft, The Hunger Games, and Pride & Prejudice. We were thrilled to be able to focus on one of the greatest sci-fi films of all time, The Invasion of the Body Snatchers. We talk about loose perms, pod nudes, and filthy mud baths. Rest in peace Donald Sutherland.

    In this very special musical episode, we celebrate the life and legacy of a giant. Academy Award winner Richard Sherman passed away on May 16th 2024. The music of Richard and Robert Sherman is the soundtrack of a generation raised on Disney movies. You have heard his work in The Jungle Book, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Slipper and the Rose (you’re welcome, Valerie), and one of the greatest films of all time, Mary Poppins. We chose to focus on the Fred MacMurray classic Follow Me, Boys! We do a lot of singing in this one. Thank you to our special guests Andy Wilson and Richard Sherman Templeman. Rest in peace Richard Sherman.

    In this episode, we celebrate the life and career of a Legend, and in this case that word feels too small. The great Roger Corman passed away on May 9th 2024. You may not have seen many of his films, but Hollywood would look so different today without him. He directed the original Little Shop of Horrors, The Fall of Usher, and Death Race 2000. We focused on William Shatner’s big screen debut in The Intruder. We talk about Frankenstein, Cry Baby Jack Nicholson, and all of the mutant hybrid animal horror films that we need to see. Rest in peace Roger Corman.

We talk about toast, Dead Man’s Curve, and the Horn of Helm Hammerhand. Rest in peace Bernard Hill.
